LOST & FOUND
I am a collector. Like his father before him, my father was a collector, carrying boxes and boxes of nostalgia around with him for decades, rarely to be opened and sorted (lost), but added to with every new home and adventure. While I wouldn’t classify myself as a hoarder, without some self-restraint and gentle support from my husband, my collecting could easily fall out of hand. These mixed-media assemblages contain bits and pieces of my own nostalgia and blended found imagery and objects from books and magazines I have held onto for years. The text (found), offers a narrative that unites the collected pieces.
